I'm impressed, works well, reasonable price.

So far, I'm impressed. I tested ethernet, HDMI and charging and these all work simultaneously, and I tested the USB-A for time machine backups, and that works as well as would be expected. I'm impressed with this, as it's cheaper than the shady competitors and works exactly like you'd hope. It can get a little warm while in use, so it may not be super power efficient, but I don't how that would compare to it's competitors either.I did try plugging in a USB-C accessory to it's USB-C port and that did not work but the port does work for pass-through charging, so you're not losing a USB-C for charging, but if you're not charging, you may not get that port back.

Great device, better than expected.

Works great! Better than expected actually. Using this device fixed a known issue with the LG Ultrafine monitor used with the MacBook Pro where plugging into the monitor causes the laptop to freeze. Since using this adapter absolutely no problems. Also use the SD card slot as an additional 256GB drive to the notebook. Very fast read/write speeds.

Works great with my MacBook Pro late 2016 with Touchbar

Works great with my MacBook Pro late 2016 with Touchbar. It was amazing after trying so many that had defects of simply didn't work to have a device that worked as advertised without a hitch! I'm using the HDMI, USB-C Power Delivery with Apple Power Supply, USB 3.0 for keyboard and Ethernet. I have not tested the SD Card slot, but I'm guessing it would work great too. I used a USB-C extension cable to give more reach to connect to my MacBook sitting closed in a Arc stand. I have 3 monitors running. One is the HDMI port off this adapter and the other two are USB-C to HDMI cables I purchased through Amazon.

It looks and works great. I use it with my HP Spectre x360 that has two thunderbolt ports.All ports works flawlessly so far - HDMI, SDCARD, Ethernet, USB.However my monitor is a simple 1080 so I cant comment on 4K not working from the other review, also I didn't try it with sound.

Solid Product

A very nice solid adapter that works as advertised. I connected my Mac to Ethernet cable running to router. No problem. Solid feel. Doesn’t seem to get hot.
